Clouds: Yet Another Chapter 1 Game

Clouds is a brand new 2D pixel-art RPG all about making choices. Explore a brand new world where everyone seems to know you, but you don't know them! As you make your way, encounter many enemies who want to capture your rabbit partner, Lee! Kill them or talk your way out of battle. 

This chapter will have multiple endings based on the choices you make, the people you kill, and the friends you make along the way. You'll have the ability to talk to and join up with different characters over the course of the game, allowing for intricate interactions and a sure-fired unique experience for each player.

Every single choice you make in this game is kept track of and will affect the overall ending. (Not every choice made in Chapter 1 will affect its ending, but it will affect the plot later on.) Be careful about what you do! There is no ability to truly reset your game. You may be able to go back to the beginning, but He is watching and keeping track of everything.

The game is also meant to be replayable! When you do certain things in one playthrough, it give you more options in later playthroughs...

Discover many mysteries throughout your adventure, and slowly piece together the history of the world. Or not. It's up to you.

So what's the deal here?

I've been making this first chapter for a few years now, and want to provide a bit more info. This chapter acts as a prologue, so the main conflict isn't fully introduced yet. 

This is a game about alternate universes, a play on how fandoms make many alternate universes. This first chapter is all about getting back to the central universe, and then each chapter after the second chapter will be exploring an alternate universe with new versions of each character while working together to fight... something. You'll learn what that something is as time goes by.

How long is this game?

The first chapter is likely going to be about 7 hours long, but there are multiple pathways and I am unsure what the total number of hours would be. This is one of the shortest chapters, so I do hope if this takes off I can speed up production of the game! I don't know the total length of the game, but with all the intertwining plotlines and replayable parts it should keep you going for a while.

How much is the game?

The first chapter will be a free demo. It's likely to change slightly as time goes on, but mostly in art and gameplay balances rather than story and characters. The full game, I don't know what the final price will be. Maybe $20?
